Founded in 1997 in the south of Germany, Verdict set out as a technical Death Metal band. However, along with some line-up changes came a change of style as well. Hailing from one of the world´s cradles of raw Thrash Metal sounds of the likes of Kreator, Destruction and Sodom, the five piece carries on the business of those veterans by mingling traditional brutality with more technical riffs, melodies that only a Thrash Metal fan can appreciate and an up-to-date sound that pounds through the boxes like a ten ton hammer.
The sheer aggression of Daniel "Ratte" Baptista´s voice combined with pounding drums and original guitarwork mount up to a sound reminiscent of long gone heroes like Incubus (on "Beyond the Unknown") or a more straight forward and less technical version of Sadus. ASSASSIN : NATION is an example of excellent German craftsmanship that proves that "Made in Germany" still is a reliable seal of quality. With their third output, Verdict once again deliver diversified Thrash Metal of the highest quality.
