Before we received this promo directly from this german band formed in 1997, we had already been able to appreciate their work before, because their song "Black Sea" was selected to appear in the compilation of the german Eternity zine' (#13), this promo contains that song and the other one called "Conflict", it's only two songs but it's also easy to identify the quality and technic that these guys have, the guitar riffs are pretty good and notable, the music of Verdict is a mix of Death with some of Thrash Metal, some of old sounds performed with guaranteed quality by these five german guys, the vocals are as aggressive as the power sound of the guitar riffs and drums, this gives a special touch to the music and sound of Verdict, we hope this work will be consolidated soon by a full lenght production... destroy the weakness...

Here we have a two-song demo-CD from VERDICT from Germany. Honestly spoken it's a hard venture to judge about the band's music and quality if you only have eight minutes to listen. Well, the two featured tracks "Black Sea" and "Conflict" are musically a bastard between melodic death metal made in Scandinavia and German thrash metal in the vein of old KREATOR ("Coma Of Souls" period), especially VERDICT's vocalist often reminds me to good ol´ Mille. These two songs offer nothing revolutionary or outstanding, but they already reveal a lot of musical potential in VERDICT.
